11 April

Tomorrow at BBB cupping, which is at 2pm, we have the Cachoeria De Grama brazil cup of excellence coffee. A Geisha roasted with 2 different profiles, a Cachoeria Yellow Bourbon and another Brazil Yellow Bourbon. So basically same same and different different,  using 2 common points and checking the cup quality with roast and farm differences etc.
We have had a great week we are fully stocked at the moment with great coffees, the rwandan golden cup has been outstanding as has been the de grama. Looking forward  to some more of the Pacamara la Montana and checking out our other CoE coffees. The new blend dubbed 12gauge (at this stage) is starting to emerge, a blend the any Seattlite would be proud.
Plenty of coffee news, Andrew Kelly has opened Auction Rooms, which sounds great, and by all accounts is busy already, all the best Andrew. Tobys Estate (is that a brambati in your pants or are you just happy to see me) should be roasting soon in Brunswick, and the five senses kids must be almost ready to unleash the new roastery as well. It's definitely a buyers market.

Man, that lineup makes me wish that I wasn't working Saturdays! Are you guys finding that the alleged gesha seems to fade pretty quickly? Having come all the way from Trabocca, I reckon that it might have given up the ghost slightly. That said, Seng thought it was seriously rocking when it was on.

The gesha appears to be a little past its use by date, alleged is perhaps a good description as well. There is a reason the other geshas command high prices. Anyway it does have some good qualities especially at the front of the palette. We are still tweaking the roast profile hoping to get something out of it, the best has been a chemex we had here.
Andrew Kellys place is in Errol st just down from Fandango and the exact name may not be Auction rooms. The fit out is amazing, wow.
