Objectives

This hands-on course is designed to provide the participant with an introduction to the science behind espresso extraction, the key factors influencing the extraction of espresso and coffee refractometry. At the completion of this course, the participant will be able to dial in espresso using a coffee refractometer and fine-tune espresso recipe to produce well balanced, correct extraction/strength espresso coffee. Participants will also be equipped with the necessary skills to further develop his/her milk preparation (milk texturing/latte art) quality and consistency.
