Introducing Pilican, a new coffee blend in collaboration with Australian rapper, Adam “Senator” Briggs and TV personality Osher Günsberg to raise money for The Adam Briggs Foundation. 

$10 from each bag of Pilican sold will go directly to The Adam Briggs Foundation to help provide pathways and sustainable careers of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community within the arts & creative industries. The money will be used to fund mentoring programs, such as the Youth Songwriting and Performance Project and Rock Music Camp for Young First Nations Women at Worawa College. 

Briggs and his family have long understood the power of coffee for bringing people together, sparking conversations and sharing knowledge. 

Pilican itself started as a coffee between Briggs and his sister. While looking at old photos, Briggs noticed one of his dad having coffee with his mentors, a reminder of how important coffee is in fueling opportunity. 

Pilican is a natural progression of this realisation - bringing people together for a coffee, to create opportunities for First Nations youth.

The Adams Briggs Foundation is a First Nations-led not-for-profit organisation helping to close the gap of representation and skills-based development for First Nations people in creative industries. 

Mainly focused on the music industry in Victoria, their mantra “do small things great” is what drives them, building opportunities for those who don’t always have the option to turn their hobbies into a career.

Inspired by all the things Briggs wished he had whilst building his career, the foundation aims to provide structures for artists and arts workers to access programs, workshops, mentors, role models, and professional experiences.
