HOW TO BREW
AEROPRESS

EQUIPMENT:

Aeropress

Paper filters

Grinder

Or
Ground coffee

TIP: If your Aeropress is too hard to press, your grind is likely too fine. If it feels too easy with little resistance, it’s probably too coarse. A steady, 30-second press with light resistance means you’re right on track.

The Aeropress is a quick, easy, and versatile way to brew coffee at home. Using gentle pressure and immersion, it creates a smooth, full-bodied cup with low bitterness—perfect for travel, work, or your kitchen bench

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Prep the Filter
Place a paper filter in the black cap of the Aeropress and rinse it with hot water over your mug to remove any papery taste and preheat the mug.

2. Assemble & Add Coffee
Put the Aeropress together in the inverted position (plunger at the bottom, chamber on top). Grind 15g of coffee to a texture slightly finer than table salt and pour it into the chamber.

3. Add Water
Boil your water and pour 220g into the chamber (or up to the “4” mark on the side if you don’t have scales). Use freshly boiled, filtered water if possible.

4. Stir & Seal
Stir the coffee and water thoroughly to make sure all the grounds are saturated. Attach the filter cap and flip the Aeropress onto your mug.

5. Wait & Plunge
Start a timer and wait for 2 minutes. Then press down gently over about 30 seconds until you hear a soft hiss.

6. Sip & Adjust
Taste your brew. If it was hard to press, your grind is too fine. If it was too easy, it’s too coarse. Adjust next time and find your sweet spot.
